High school years how sweet that there gone

this is me in 11th grade

That is all I have to say about the high school years.I hated school I went to Edison high school in california.I graduated in 87 by the skin of my teeth. At this time in my life I was in to Billy Idol, social Distrotion,My favorite song was I saw your mommy and mommies dead. I was a alcholic by the age of 16 and was also known as a druggie.
With all of that said I am so thankful for my Lord and Savior.I am so glad my children will hopefully never have the life that I had.My blogger image is not working I will try later.

I to dislike my highschool years! but for a completely different reason I was the opposite Loved books, hung out at the library alllll the time, tried to keep my distance I was friends with everyone but noone knew me. Also my parents were divorced and it was just a struggle...amen to Him who has plans to prosper us and not to harm us give us a future and a hope. I was saved by watching Pat Robertson on the 700 club every day after school as a senior. Every day I prayed the prayer of faith and I felt no different. After I was married my husband led me into the prayer and I tried as hard as I could on my own to be a Christian I truly became aware of His love for me at the age of 25 when I started to seek Him. only 7 years after I started seeking did I find what I was lookin for...hehe Ok I wrote a book in your comment section...you can bill me later hehehe

Thanks for stopping by my blog and it was great to read your story. I have a past, too. Not high school - my rebellion came later, but now I'm happy and peaceful and in love with Jesus!

Ah! I wish they were clearer. Billy Idol is cool. He has that one song about dancing by myself...I like that one.

Hi Char~
I'm so glad that you stopped by my place and left me a comment, thanks! I'm glad to *meet* you.
Oh yeah, I can so relate to you on this one! I was also the major rebel in highschool, and honestly...just miserable. People just wouldn't recognize me now.hehehe Even though I graduated with honors, and somehow managed to maintain a 4.0 gpa throughout college, I was a terribly dependent alcoholic and druggie too. Just goes to show you that appearances don't tell the whole story...
God is so good, and is truly restoring all of the years that the locusts ate. He is Faithful. I am so glad to see that you have found a new life in Him as well.;)
And I regularly find myself thanking the Lord that my kids won't have to go through the same valleys I did too...

The "I saw your mommy" song is banned at this house! I hate it! My sons think it's FUNNY. But it's forbidden.
